The young and fun-loving clients of the S.T.A.R. Youth enjoyed an overnight trip to Ipoh from the 21st to 22nd October, feasting on local delights and scenic views.
Unfazed by the haze, S.T.A.R. Youth social workers treated the six youths to sightseeing at Kek Lok Tong Caves, taking a walk at downtown Ipoh and tasting local food.
A trip to the art gallery
On the 30th October, S.T.A.R. Youth clients visited an art exhibition “The Story behind the Story”, that showcased the works of 11 artists with autism at Oriental Art and Cultural Association in Wisma Elken. The young art lovers had endless fun watching the animation on some of the pictures. Some also learnt to use the app Junaio to scan the QR code to activate the animation.
Sight-seeing trips are part of STAR Youth’s key programmes for bringing the youth to experience and enjoy the world, opening up learning opportunities and self-discovery. END
